Frankford Improvement Association, Inc. (FIA) is the
community organization whose catchments area for the set
boundaries according to articles of Incorporation dated May
21, 1959. This includes the communities of Parkside,
Mannesota, Furley, Valleyview, Gardenville, Hazelwood,
Cedonia, Gardenville Neighborhoods, Frankford Gardens,
Frankford Estates, Bowleys Lane, and Moravia Park. All
presidents and representatives of those communities are
members of the Board of Directors of Frankford
Improvement Association, Inc. as well as several institutions
and business representatives of the FIA catchments area.
Each year we must clarify our boundaries; this has been the
boundary marked since 1959. Therefore there are more
than 20,000 residents represented by FIA.
We need active community members to help service the
area as members of Frankford Improvement Association
even if they are members of their direct neighborhood
organization. We speak with a large voice and we must also
act with greater deeds for improved quality of life issues.
